The Director of Adult Day Services with the support of the Vice President of Adult Day Services, is responsible for the administrative supervision, management and development of the day service programs, while ensuring compliance with OPWDD, ACCES-VR, DOL and OSHA regulations. This position requires travel to remote program sites on a regular basis to provide oversight and support
Role Responsibilities:
- Provides oversight, coordination, leadership and direction to the daily operation of the adult day service programs
- Ensures high-quality person-centered services for all people supported and the provision of a positive work environment for program employees.
- Researches new regulations and implements in-service training programs to ensure compliance.
- Acts as a liaison with day service providers, school districts, community groups, and state agencies.
- Maintains accurate records, complete and submit reports in a timely manner
- Participates in hiring process, training and evaluation of all new hires to ensure the needs of the program and people supported are met.
- Reviews and approves timesheets to ensure accuracy.
- Participates in Incident Review Committee, Human Rights Committee and other committees as assigned.
- ttends training programs and OPWDD ADM meetings.
- Assists in formulating policies and reviewing proposals
- Bachelors Degree in related field
- 5+ years supervisory experience in management
- 5+ years’ experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of OPWDD, DOL, and ACCES-VR regulations as they relate to adult day service programs.
- Extensive working knowledge of electronic platforms for data collection and medical record keeping
