As a leader in providing innovative therapy services for children, we specialize in treating a range of challenges, including pediatric speech and language disorders and developmental delays. The e-Medical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting our telehealth offerings, ensuring that families have seamless access to our expert care. This position involves assisting healthcare providers with virtual appointment setup, medical record management, and patient communication to ensure a positive experience for our clients. Key Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers in setting up and managing telehealth appointments with patients.
- Maintain and update electronic medical records and documentation during virtual visits.
- Communicate with patients and their families to confirm appointments and provide pre-appointment instructions.
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide support with technical issues related to telehealth platforms.
- Coordinate the flow of information between therapy teams and administrative staff.
- Support insurance verification and facilitate documentation for billing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical assisting or a related field is a plus.
- Experience in a medical office or telehealth setting preferred.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems and telehealth technology.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate compassionately with patients and families.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in record keeping.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a remote work environment.
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
