A company is looking for a Workers Compensation Claims Representative to assist hospitals and medical providers in resolving accounts related to work-related injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage a queue of Workers' Compensation accounts
- Contact relevant parties to obtain injury and insurance information and submit claims to insurance carriers
- Review payments and denials, write and submit appeals, and ensure timely payment of bills
Qualifications and Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred
- 1-5 years of related experience in medical billing, coding, claims adjudication, or Workers' Compensation
- Proficiency in data entry, word processing, and MS Office applications
- Ability to perform basic mathematical operations
- Strong customer service background with a positive attitude
