The Alexandria VA Medical Center in Alexandria/Pineville, LA, is seeking a full-time, Board Certified, Family Medicine/Internal Medicine physician to serve as its Chief of Primary Care. Highlights of this position include:- Competitive Starting Salary $232,000 - $343,000 per year
- Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7:30am-4:00pm NO CALL
- Provides administrative, clinical, and programmatic leadership for the service to ensure achievement of the goals of the service
- Work independently; supervision is mainly advisory in nature
- Direct patient care, clinical work, oversight, and administration of all aspects of the service
- Supervise the administrative leads for Primary Care, and support staff
- Attends all required meetings
- Monitoring, reporting, and acting on residency and fellowship program, and
- Oversight of residency and fellowship program
- Additional duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:- Must be Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- At least one-year supervisory experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Non-Citizen candidates will be considered if a U.S. Citizen is not found
- Current one full and unrestricted license from any U.S. State
