About the Role
An independent artist specialising in afrobeats, dancehall, and hip-hop fusion seeks a mid-level sound engineer for vocal recording, mixing, and mastering services. The position includes potential beat production opportunities and aims to establish a long-term collaborative relationship. This is a remote position with potential for ongoing projects.
Responsibilities
- Record and engineer vocal sessions remotely
- Mix and master tracks across multiple genres (dancehall, afrobeats, hip-hop)
- Provide creative input on sound design and arrangement
- Create custom beats as needed
- Demonstrated expertise in mixing afrobeats, dancehall, and hip-hop
- Strong understanding of current genre-specific production techniques
- Proficiency with modern DAWs and mixing tools
- Experience with remote recording sessions
