About the Role
A solo artist specialising in early 2000s-inspired pop punk music seeks an experienced mixing engineer for a completed track, with potential for ongoing collaboration. This project requires remote work capabilities and expertise in modern mixing techniques while maintaining the authentic pop punk sound characteristic of the early 2000s era.
Responsibilities
- Mix and optimise recorded tracks to achieve professional-quality sound
- Balance levels, EQ, compression, and effects to enhance the pop punk aesthetic
- Provide feedback and suggestions for sonic improvements while maintaining the artist's creative vision
- Prepare final mix for mastering and distribution
- Demonstrated experience in mixing pop punk or similar guitar-driven genres
- Strong understanding of modern DAWs and mixing techniques
- Portfolio of previous work, particularly in rock/punk genres
- Ability to work remotely with clear communication
- Experience with creating polished, radio-ready mixes
