Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Director of Partnerships, Payers to join our growing team based in Washington, D.C. In this crucial role, you will be at the forefront of our business, driving our growth in the payer market. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and nurture relationships with health insurance companies and other payers, presenting our industry-leading solutions that address their unique challenges. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the healthcare landscape and a proven track record in sales, allowing them to identify opportunities and craft tailored value propositions that resonate with our clients. As the market continues to evolve, you will be expected to stay ahead of industry trends, articulate our company's vision clearly, and drive sales initiatives that align with our strategic goals. Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution
- Be adept at value based selling and positioning. Be able to demonstrate how our products and services solve a customer's specific challenges and align with their goals to deliver clear ROI.
- Be able to work to a sales methodology - MEDDIC prefered.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve sales targets.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research and networking.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies.
- Provide timely and accurate forecasts of sales performance and account potential.
- Collaborate with the sales team to meet and exceed sales goals.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients, focusing on key payer accounts.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to clients.
Sales Presentation
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations for potential clients.
- Negotiate and close sales deals in a timely manner.
Please note this role is based in our D.C. office, with 2 in-office days and 3 remote days per week.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.
- 2+ years experience as an Account Executive or similar role, preferably in the healthcare or payer industry.
- Strong understanding of healthcare systems and payer operations.
- Proficient in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
- Ability to quickly onboard in product knowledge and provide expertise to clients.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a passion for learning and sharing knowledge.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules as needed.
- Demonstrated can-do attitude and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States to be eligible to apply for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business or related field.
- Sales experience in SaaS, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or digital health.
Travel Requirements
This position may require occasional travel to attend conferences, trade shows, business meetings, or to support operations at other locations. Travel frequency, duration, and mode will depend on business needs and will be communicated in advance whenever possible. Candidates should be comfortable with:
- Overnight stays when necessary.
- Following company travel policies and procedures.
- Adapting to varying travel schedules, including potential weekend or evening travel, as required.
Note: Travel expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with company policies.
