Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Payment Poster for a temporary remote position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately posting payments to patient accounts, reconciling account balances, and ensuring timely and precise financial record-keeping. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial data and supporting our billing department during a peak period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately post payments from various sources (insurance, patients, etc.) to patient accounts.
- Reconcile daily deposits and ensure all payments are posted correctly.
- Identify and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with billing and collections teams to ensure seamless financial processes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of payment transactions.
- Prepare and submit required reports and documentation to management.
- Assist with month-end closing processes and account reconciliations.
- Stay informed about changes in billing and payment posting regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in payment posting, medical billing, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and billing software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical billing or finance is a plus.
