Job Duties:
As the Director of Nursing, you will play a critical leadership role overseeing the clinical support team and ensuring a high standard of patient care.
This position is responsible for the operational, clinical, financial, and quality aspects of nursing services at the facility. You will guide and support nursing staff to achieve performance goals, adhere to healthcare regulations, and deliver an outstanding patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead all nursing staff, setting high standards of patient care
- Oversee department budgets, managing resources effectively
- Ensure patient data and medical records are accurately managed and confidential
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, and family members to enhance patient care and communication
- Recruit, train, and onboard new nursing staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning
- Develop and implement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Establish department objectives and long-term goals aligned with the mission and vision

Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Director of Nursing or in a similar leadership role
- Skills: Strong knowledge of patient care procedures, quality metrics (KPIs/KQIs), and best practices in healthcare
- Financial Acumen: Familiarity with budgeting and financial reporting
- Legal & Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop nursing staff
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (required); Master’s in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (preferred)
- Certifications: Valid nursing license and CPR certification in the state of New Jersey
