Job Summary
The Purdue International Scholar Assistance Specialist contributes to the centralized coordination of clerical and administrative support for services provided by the International Scholar Services team. It is a high volume, data-focused role that nonetheless prioritizes a high standard of "non-bureaucratic" customer service. This position will:
Work collaboratively with assigned academic and other business units, as well as with partner and stakeholder offices campus-wide
Collect information and documents for international faculty, staff, postdocs and scholars (not students!) using email, Docusign, fillable Adobe pdf and other methods.
Engage in fast but accurate, high volume data entry into online tracking systems, excel spreadsheets and other tools. Submit data and documents into online case management systems. Monitor requests to perform additional administrative tasks to ensure advancement of the request through Purdue systems
Proactively send, respond to, and manage, and extremely high volume of incoming and outgoing emails to communicate with customers and partners, solicit necessary information, and provide meaningful but succinct updates on requests.
Provide customer service, support and outreach for our customer departments and internationals, as well as with campus partners, stakeholders, and our customers
Seek out opportunities to provide welcoming support for our sponsored population
The position will also serve as a resource for assigned areas of responsibility. This role is hybrid: some remote work is permitted, but both in-office and campus presence is essential.

High School diploma/GED
3 years of related experience
High-volume and complex data entry
High-quality customer service in extremely fast-paced, high-volume environment
Analytical ability under pressure and time constraints to meet deadlines
Proven adaptability to changing circumstances and shifting priorities
Strong organizational and time/project management skills
Ability to identify routine problems and implement or recommend solutions
File management and record keeping
Excellent verbal, written communication skills
Microsoft Word; Excel, including Excel reports; Outlook; Windows
Nice to Have:
Purdue University experience
SharePoint, Adobe DC, Cascade
