Position Overview:
The Indian Health Center is seeking a dedicated Medical Director (CMO) to oversee the medical operations of our clinic and lead efforts to provide high-quality, culturally competent healthcare to the members of our vibrant tribal community. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a setting that honors ancient traditions while embracing modern healthcare practices. As the Medical Director, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of medical policies and programs, ensuring optimal patient care and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the clinic’s medical operations, ensuring the development and implementation of effective medical policies and programs.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to keep clinical providers informed of key updates and align on organizational goals.
- Ensure the highest quality of care is provided to all patients in accordance with medical standards.
- Optional clinical hours: You can create your own schedule for direct patient care.
- Serve as a key leader in maintaining and promoting a culture of healthcare excellence within the clinic.
Work Schedule:
- Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Flexible clinical hours (based on individual preference and needs)
Qualifications & Skills:
- MD or DO degree required
- Board Eligible (BE) or Board Certified (BC) in a relevant specialty
- Except any state license- with no restrictions
- Open to various specialties
- Strong leadership skills with experience in clinical management
- Experience working in diverse, underserved, or rural communities is a plus
- A passion for improving healthcare access and outcomes for tribal populations
