Primary Responsibilities
The Transportation Safety Supervisor will be responsible for recommending and supporting transportation safety and compliance programs that include reduction of accidents/incidents, workers compensation, CSA scoring and frequency though training drivers in the field, in person, virtually, and in the classroom while embracing the company's safety philosophy and culture. Essential Functions
DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designs, implements, and manages transportation safety training programs.
- Conducts site inspections and safety audits ensuring DOT compliance at assigned company locations.
- Works with leaders to ensure organization's safety compliance standards are met.
- Participates in tactical planning and support of transportation safety initiatives.
- Assists safety managers in accidents/incidents, workers compensation, and in roadside inspections analysis including determining probable causes, root cause analysis and making recommendations for remedial training and preventative action.
- Ensures PIT and delivery of equipment safety for drivers.
- Communicates and outlines standard operating procedures.
- Prepares reports and analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
- Interprets and effectively applies regulations as they relate to DOT Guidelines.
- Recognizes training opportunities and provides feedback on development of training programs.
- Other duties and special projects as requested.

- Strong communication both verbally and written with the ability to present and speak to employees and management personnel.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Knowledge of ELD and transportation management systems.

- Strong management skills and an exceptional ability to identify and resolve conflicts.

- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance.
- 50% + ability to travel.
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Class A CDL license preferred.
- Safety certifications required.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in transportation and safety compliance.
