Description:

New weekend payrates plus $5,000 sign on bonus! The Weekend RN Staff Nurse provides compassionate care to terminally ill patients, based on an ongoing nursing assessment of need and in accordance with the established plan of care. Day or night shift, 12 hours, on Saturdays and Sundays.

Duties include:

· Educate patients and caregivers on end-of-life care, services and other resources

· Document complex medical information using clinical tools, data and other information to complete assessment of patient needs

· Follow quality care processes in compliance with regulatory guidelines and company procedures, demonstrated ability to respond to patient and family needs in a timely manner

· Establishes professional and collaborative relationships with patients, families and providers utilizing strong written and verbal communication skills

· Basic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite

· Care Site - private residences, hospice inpatient centers, nursing homes and assisted living facilities in Kentucky and Ohio

· Night shift: 8:00 pm - 8:00 am, Day Shift: 8:00 am to 8:00 pm, Saturdays and Sundays

· $5,000 SIGN ON BONUS! **Bonus $2,500 after six months of full-time employment, and $2,500 after one year of full-time employment**

Requirements:

PROFESSIONAL: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and current licensure, or eligibility to be licensed, in Kentucky and/or Ohio. At least one year of experience in a patient care position in a hospital, nursing home, or related health care facility preferred.

PERSONAL: Personal qualities of empathy, responsibility and dependability. Must demonstrate effective communication skills with team members, patients, providers, and family members. Must have ability to work independent of direct on-site supervision.

PHYSICAL JOB: Must arrange travel and be able to access client homes, nursing homes, hospitals, and other facilities independently. Must demonstrate proper use of personal protective equipment and observe universal precautions. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds using proper body mechanics. Must have valid driver's license, current auto insurance and reliable transportation.
